Over 100 years ago Rotary was founded on the principle of “meeting regularly to enjoy and expand one’s circle of business and professional acquaintances.” That principle remains true today. Getting connected in St. Croix Falls/Taylors Falls can be difficult, but whether you just moved to St. Croix Falls/Taylors Falls or have lived here your whole life, starting a business or new job or are just looking for a way to enjoy old friends or meet new ones, Rotary is your connection!
Members of the Rotary Club of St. Croix Falls/Taylors Falls represent a cross-section of the community. Our Club’s members are business owners, community leaders, executives, managers, political leaders and professionals – people who successfully make decisions and influence policy. Rotarians value community service, high ethical standards and enjoy relationships with their peers. The Rotary Club of St. Croix Falls/Taylors Falls is just the place to develop and expand personal and professional relationships.
Beyond our weekly meetings, we host a range of social activities, just for fun. We also enjoy working together to accomplish something bigger than ourselves. We’ve built the teen skate park across City Hall, designed Rotary park benches and distributed them, and raised funds for exchange students just to mention a few way we focus on others apart from today’s demanding professional and personal schedules.
Who we are
The Rotary Club of St. Croix Falls/Taylors Falls is part of an international organization of community leaders throughout the world. We provide quality weekly programs to support professional development and educate our members on community and business issues while fostering fellowship.
What we do
We join together each Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. at the Dalles Restaurant in St. Croix Falls. While there, we enjoy lunch and learning together. We also have several opportunities throughout the year to get together for fellowship or to serve our community and world. We are happy to welcome guests, so please join us!
What we stand for
We strive to live by the Four-Way Test of truthfulness, fairness, friendship and actions beneficial to all. In this we strive to build goodwill and peace in our community and in our world.
The Four Way Test of what we think, say and do:
- Is it the truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
What to Expect
The St. Croix Falls/Taylors Falls Rotary Club was chartered in June of 1986 with 16 members, several of whom are still active today. We currently have over 35 members from St. Croix Falls, Taylors Falls, Osceola, Luck and throughout the region, and we are continually growing and accepting new membership.
Through the years we have had a club tradition of starting each meeting by showing our commitment to God, our Country and our Organization by stating the Pledge of Allegiance, joining in a word of thanks to God, reciting the Rotary Four Way Test and by singing a patriotic song.
After we go over any necessary weekly announcements, we move on to our weekly program, which we each take turns either presenting or supplying. This happens each week except for the first Wednesday of each month, when we meet in small groups representing our four avenues of service to plan and review:
- Community Service
- International Service
- Vocational Service
- Club Service
